Int. Kubrick’s RV—Day
The hunter have been researching for a while. Kubrick holds a leather address book and finishes up yet another phone call. He tells the person on the other line to give him a call if they find out anything and then hangs up. He’s cleared his entire book and now all they can do is wait.
Creedy nods and stretches and states that now they eat. Kubrick agrees and heads to the kitchen and asks what Creedy likes, cause he’s got a can of everything. Creedy tells him they ain’t eating in the RV and when Kubrick asks why Creedy says he knows this great place with a good food, service, atmosphere—the menu is on their website.
Kubrick ain’t too thrilled about his beanie wienies being turned down.
Int. Biggerson’s Family Restraurant—Day
Sam and Dean are in a booth, finishing up a meal. Dean is scraping off the last bit of his crazy huge dessert sundae. Sam is researching lore on the laptop, informing Dean that Bobby was right and the lore goes way back. Its pure hoodoo, and you can’t just cut one off of any rabbit—it has to be one you catch in a cemetery under a full moon—on a Friday the thirteenth—(these hoodoo people are pretty picky if you ask me)
Dean isn’t really that interested in the whole rabbit catching—his focus is lying more on the desserts in front of him. He states that from now on, they only go to places with Biggerson’s. An attractive waitress heads toward the table, carrying a pot of coffee.
Continued Scene
Sam is on one knee, trying to reach his shoe down in the storm drain—it’s a lost hope. Dean’s on the phone with Bobby and tells Dean that if it is her (and I got no clue as to who—she is) then he might know some folks who know where to find her. Dean thanks Bobby and tells Dean to watch out for his brother.
Bobby hangs up and Dean does the same. Sam stands up, dirt-stains on him, and shaking his head. Dean asks what the problem is and Sam’s defeatedly tells his brother—he lost his shoe.
Ext. Biggerson’s Restaurant—Parking lot—Night
Kubrick’s RV is parked out front with Creedy’s muddy SUV trailer hitched behind it. Kubrick leans against his RV as Creedy walks up, carrying left overs wrapped insides tinfoil. Creedy informs Kubrick that no one saw the way the brothers went and that their meal was free, so there wasn’t a credit card trail.
Kubrick is pretty peaceful when he says that Creedy shouldn’t worry—they’ll find Sam. Creedy’s puzzled by the man’s peace over the subject and sarcastically tells Kubrick he’s comforted and they should just get some rest. Kubrick aggress and says they can bed down in the RV. Creedy gives Kubrick a look and tells him that just because you live in an RV doesn’t mean you have to do everything in one.
Kubrick comments that the RV sleeps alright, and Creedy tells him to get seven more people because he’s sleeping in a damn hotel. Creedy exits the frame and Kubrick throws a look after him.
Ext. Highway—Night—Some time later
The Impala speeds along the highway. Zoom Zoom…lol
Int. Impala—Night
Dean finishes up a call on his cell, telling Bobby that they owe him and yeah, another one. He hangs up and turns to his brother. He tells Sam that Bobby’s got it on pretty good authority that a chick named Bela has a place in Queens that they can get to in like two hours. He thinks. Sam simply nods and Dean looks up ahead.
We get Dean’s POV through the windshield and he turns into a lot of a motel. Sam asks just what Dean is doing and as the car pulls into the lot, we see Kubrick’s RV parked in the lot.
Int. Motel Room—Morning
Sam’s POV and its blackness-because he’s unconscious. The black fades out slowly and we see Sam’s arm being duct taped to the arm of a chair. Creedy looks up from his task to see that Sam is awake. Kubrick notices to, and Creedy comments in mild awe that they didn’t even have to touch Sam. He just went spastic and then knocked himself out and compares the event with Jerry Lewis stacking chairs.
Sam frowns, and blinks back into consciousness. He asks what they want and Kubrick punches Sam in the face—hard. Kubrick says that he used to think his friend Gordon sent him because he asked him to track Sam down and put a bullet in the Winchester’s brain.
Sam gives a weary sigh and says that it sounds like something Gordon would say and Kubrick has a strange—glassed over glint in his eye. He tells Sam as it turns out he’s ona mission from God and punches Sam again. (okay, anybody else thinking blues brothers???)
Int. Bela’s Warehouse Apartment—Day
There’s some distance between Dean and Bela. They’re a little more relaxed, guns aimed, but not thrust out. Dean informs Bela that Sam touched the foot and when she took it from him his luck went from—Bela cuts him off saying she knows how it works.
Dean says that then she knows if they don’t destroy it Sam’s gonna die, and Bela tells him he can have the foot back, but he’s gonna have to come up with 1.5 million first.
Dean tells her he’s just gonna go call his banker and then asks how Bela even found the damn thing—especially since it was stuck in the back of a storage place in the middle of nowhere. Bela smiles and flicks her gaze toward the display alcove to the ornate antique Ouija board there. She tells Dean she asked a few ghosts of the people its killed seeing as they were attuned to its location.
Dean shakes his head, and comments that its all about the money. Bela inquires as to what makes hunters more noble. Its just a bunch of obsessed, revenge driven sociopaths trying to save a world that’s completely unsalvageable.
They watch each other cagily, as Dean backs toward the front door, snarkily telling Bela she’s the glass-half-full type. Bela retorts that they are all going to hell and they might as well enjoy the ride. Dean gives a thoughtful huh, and then says that he actually agrees with Bela on that point.
He’s succeeded in reaching the door and says that its been charming, but and the time well, its late and you know this—he holds up the rabbits foot in his other hand and smiles sweetly—. Dean tells Bela he’s had it since she read his note. And tells her that if its any consolation—he thinks she’s a truly awful person.
Bela raises her gun, and starts marching toward Dean, firing repeatedly but Dean’s newfound luck cause the bullets to miss. He walks slowly and unscathed out the door.
Int. Motel Room--Day
Sam’s strapped to a chair (okay, pause, reflect…*ahem*) looking battered and quite groggy. Water splashes over him, causing him to snap back in focus. Kubrick tells Sam that he knows he was part of the Demon plan to open the gate.
He grabs Sam by the hair, tips his head back and Sam tells Kubrick that they gave everything to stop it. Kubrick doesn’t buy it and punches Sam again. He says that Sam is lying and that he’s in on it and demands that Sam must know the next move.
Sam refutes the accusation and Kubrick shakes the younger man brutally demanding to know when the demons are gonna hit next. When Sam doesn’t respond, Kubrick says that he knows about Sam’s powers. Gordon told him that Sam was just some weirdo psychic freak.
Sam tells Kubrick that its over now—he doesn’t have visions, or powers. Kubrick aint buying it and hits Sam hard again. He shakes his head, paces to his coat. Kubrick tells Sam he’s sick of the lies and there’s pushing at the world. Its an end game now, and then says that maybe Sam can understand why they can’t take any chances.
Kubrick pulls out a gun, turns and levels it to Sam’s head. Sam tells him to hold on, and Creedy steps in with a chide. Kubrick tells Creedy to step aside because really why are they here? The pic was on the web, the hotel was just happening along both the same routes….Luck like that just doesn’t happen.
Sam tries to interject saying he can explain, but Kubrick tells him to shut up. And tells Creedy that its God. He led them here, for one reason—to do his work and Kubrick places the gun to Sam’s head as he says—this is destiny.
Dean’s voice comes from off screen---saying this ain’t destiny, and then we get a shot of Dean holding a gun on them as he tells Kubrick its just a rabbits foot. Kubrick tells Dean to put the gun down or he’s gonna be scrubbing Sam’s brains off the wall.
Dean asks if Kubrick means the one in his hand, and then says okay. He puts the gun down and Kubrick swings his gun from Sam, now covering both boys a bit. Dean narrows his eyes, and steels his voice.
He goes Clint Eastwood and tells Kubrick there is something he doesn’t know about him…Dean holds up a ballpoint pen and then says its his lucky day. He throws the pen toward Kubrick and the pen plugs the gun barrel perfectly. Dean cant keep his cool and goes a little over excited over the luck of the shot.
Creedy leaps for Dean and Dean dodges, sending Creedy hurling into a dresser, cracking his head and out for the count. Dean states that he’s amazing and picks up the TV remote, just as Kubrick unplugs his gun and raises it. Dean whispers that he’s batman and whips the remote at him—the remote strikes Kubrick between the eyes and he falls back revealing Sam, still tied.
Sam sarcastically replies that yeah, Dean is batman.
Ext. Cemetery—Night
At a grave, Sam is over a shallow pan of burning coals and adds the last few ingredients to his ritual. He reads off the list and and tells Dean they should be ready to go, but Dean tells him to give him one more second.
Sam turns to Dean to find his older brother feverishly scratching off a Lottery Scratcher.
