me i started directly with english but with no subtitles and it workd with me.
And it's like, when you don't understand one word in a sentence I tried to find the translation of the word by myself, with no dictionary but by trying to understand what it means with the entire sentece. Then when i think I found it, I'll check it out on the dictionary to see If I was right or wong. But I do that only when ther is one or two words that I don't understand.
I don't think that was really clear what I said!!

When I watch a movie, I allways try at first to watch it with no subtitles at all and when I'm lost, when I really don't understand, I watch the scene with english subtitles.

Yep! Before taking the dictionnary, I first try to understand the sense of the word or expression, and then I look if I was right.
